I haven't been riding, I haven't even seen a horse (in person) since the last lesson I took after my trip to Dallas.
I desperately miss riding, so that is a good sign.
I was supposed to have a lesson on October 12, and between a rather sick and twisted comedy of dramatic events and lack of sleep (mostly because of those events), I had texted S super early and said I wasn't going to be able to make it...everything happens for a reason, right? She had forgotten all about me and was at a show. Annoying, even though I was canceling Good thing I didn't drive an hour to find out she wasn't there.
Then, she tells me she is not available to teach again until November.
Obviously, November sort of snuck up on me. But, I had decided when she said that, that I was going to more seriously pursue a place closer to home. Despite good intentions, I have not been able to make it to the one I have in mind to inquire about price/scheduling, etc. I'm hoping I can swing by one night after work, or maybe make it there this weekend. I would love to do an evening lesson, and depending on price, maybe a weekend lesson as well. I figure it's so much closer to home that the difference in gas might make it justifiable to take 2 lessons a week. But, I don't know any details on their program, so...I will have to wait to make any plans until I can actually *get* there and talk to them.
I'm going soon, I promise. I need some serious saddle time.
